Applegate Grants for Teachers
John Russell Applegate Grants for Teachers are awarded 3 times during the school year. Deadlines for applications for Applegate Grants for Teachers are: October 15, January 15 and April 15.
Grant applications will be considered for training or support for K-12 teachers at elementary and secondary schools located in the Nebraska counties of Custer, Dawson, Frontier, Hayes, Hooker, Keith, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Perkins and Thomas. Support grant awards will range between $250-$5000. Trainning grant awards will range between $250-$10,000.
Each application for Training and Support Grants on the approved application form must be initiated or endorsed by a K-12 teacher at an elementary or secondary school located in one of the eligible counties.

If your non-profit organization qualifies to apply for a Betterment Grant and is considering applying for a grant to help a qualifying project, please contact our office to discuss the project. The Community Foundation considers applications that promise to make significant and direct contributions to people in the North Platte area in one of the following fields of interest: community development, culture, education, environment, health, or human services. The North Platte area includes Lincoln County and the 10 nearby counties of Custer, Dawson, Frontier, Hayes, Hooker, Keith, Logan, McPherson, Perkins and Thomas. Grant application deadlines are: January 15, April 15, July 15 and October 15.
