Currently Available Scholarships
Approximately 200 scholarships are awarded each year from funds administered by Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation. Some of these scholarships are targeted for applicants meeting very specific criteria.
Are you a graduating high school senior?
If you are a graduating high school senior, scholarship applications are available between late January and late February each year through high school counselors in our region.

If you have graduated from high school and are looking to further your education, scroll down to view currently available scholarships. The largest share of scholarship applications for students in college are available between late January and late February each year.
We are pleased to announce that application forms are available for the following scholarships with specific eligibility criteria: The deadline for current scholarships is April 16, 2020.
Joe & Dorothy Conger “Handy-One” Scholarship for vocational skills
Applicant must be going into the second year of studying building and/or home maintenance vocational skills at North Platte Community College, reside in the North Platte region and demonstrate moderate to substantial financial need. Amount $1,200
Riley Dolan EMT & Firefighting Scholarship
Applicant must be a resident of Lincoln County intending to study to be an EMT or firefighter in either volunteer or employed capacity. Amount: $400
Brian A. Sorenson Memorial Scholarship for science
Applicant must be a college junior, senior or graduate student in the coming school year who resides in Lincoln County or in an adjacent county and majors in any of the sciences other than agricultural science. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Amount: $650
Tom & Kay Hanson Griffith NPHS Graduate Scholarship
The applicant must be a prior graduate of North Platte High School and have completed at least one semester of college. Applicant must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in college. Scholarship can be used at any accredited U.S. college or university including a technical or trade school. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded for the coming school year.
