Charitable people donated a total of $191,423 to help 65 different local nonprofits during North Platte Giving Year End.

100% of each donation goes to donor-selected nonprofits participating in the Giving Year End campaign hosted by Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

The five nonprofits receiving the largest amount of donations were: Lincoln County Historical Museum $69,700; Salvation Army $29,200; Guardians of the Children Flatrock Chapter $12,500; North Platte Catholic Schools Endowment Trust, $10,050; and Sutherland Public School Foundation Fund $6,950.

“We are very excited by the generous donations during Giving Year End,” said James Griffin, director of the Lincoln County Historical Museum.  “We continue to try and find new ways to teach people about the amazing history of Lincoln County.”

North Platte Giving Year End ran from November 26 until midnight December 31.

The mission of the Community Foundation is to serve charitable people and support worthy causes in the North Platte region.
