Complaint Reporting and Resolution Procedure
In keeping with the policy of maintaining high standards of conduct and ethics, Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation (“Community Foundation”) encourages reports of suspected illegal, fraudulent or improper actions involving the Community Foundation by its employees, board members, contractors, consultants, volunteers, grant recipients or others.
To maintain high standards of service, Community Foundation also encourages reports about complaints concerning its services.
Report to any of the following Community Foundation officers:
President – Dan O’Neill
Vice President – Brandon Jones
Secretary-Treasurer – Amy Engel
Executive Director – Eric Seacrest
Reports of concerns may be submitted anonymously. Because it is impossible to acknowledge or follow up with an anonymous individual, such reports should include as much specific information as possible and preferably be in writing.
This policy supplements, and does not replace, any procedures required by law or regulation, including federal and state law and regulation regarding whistleblower protection or regarding improper document destruction.
Individuals making reports or complaints are advised to avoid baseless allegations.
While reporting individuals are expected to exercise reasonable care to avoid baseless allegations, they should not conduct their own investigations.
The Community Foundation shall investigate reports or complaints. Appropriate corrective action as determined by the Community Foundation will be taken if necessary and findings may be communicated to the reporting person and others. Investigations may be conducted by independent persons such as auditors and/or attorneys.
