Nonprofits play an essential role in communities, and North Platte Giving provides an opportunity for these organizations to receive the support they need to continue offering their services with two giving events each calendar year.
Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation promotes the North Platte Giving campaigns, coordinates local giving sites, hosts the North Platte Giving website, receives online and check donations, and distributes 100% of donated funds to donor-selected nonprofits. They also arrange cash prizes for nonprofits to win during the spring North Platte Giving event.
Registered organizations do not have to pay any fee to participate, and cash prizes are awarded for nonprofits based on donations received.
Nonprofits must be recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charitable organization in good standing with the IRS and provide services other than religion in North Platte or Lincoln County, Nebraska.
It's humbling to see organizations band together to help each other and this is what makes North Platte Giving Day such a special event.
Registration for the 2024 Giving Day event will begin in February 2024, and we are already excited about the incredible impact it will have on our community.
