Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation Begins CEO Succession Search

Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation has begun a search for its next Chief Executive Officer.  The search will be overseen by the Foundation’s Executive Transition Committee and Board of Directors, with full support and assistance of current President & Executive Director Eric Seacrest.

Seacrest, who has led the Community Foundation since 2001, will assist in the search and onboarding of the next President & Executive Director.

Chair of the Board Dan O’Neill said, “We are deeply grateful for Seacrest’s leadership over the past 24 years and his commitment to assisting a smooth transition.  The Board and the Executive Transition Committee are focused on finding the right person to lead the Community Foundation going forward.”

“Following the appointment of a new CEO, we would like Seacrest to continue serving the Foundation in a transition capacity with specific responsibilities allowing us to continue benefiting from his experience and deep community relationships,” O’Neill said.  “We want to ensure that the Community Foundation continues trusted stewardship as well as ongoing service and support for charitable people and nonprofit organizations in the North Platte region.”

“Leading the Community Foundation has been one of the greatest privileges of my life,” Seacrest said.  “The time has arrived to find the next person to become the chief executive officer.  I’m committed to ensuring a smooth and successful transition.  Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation is financially strong, built to last generations and positioned to provide increasing benefits to the North Platte region.”

O’Neill said “the CEO position at the Community Foundation fits a person who is a relationship-builder, a collaborative leader and a communicator with unquestioned integrity who wants to help worthy causes, who enjoys both leadership and hands-on work, who is energized by community needs and challenges, and who likes taking timely action and also has patience to manage for long-term impact.”
